Interim Behaviour Support Plan
An Interim Behaviour Support Plan is a short-term plan developed when a participant has restrictive practices in place. It is a requirement under the NDIS Commission to ensure there are strategies and safeguards in place while a Functional Behavioural Assessment and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plan are being completed.

Functional Behavioural Assessment
A Functional Behavioural Assessment (FBA) is a detailed process used to understand the why behind a person’s behaviour. Rather than just focusing on what someone is doing, an FBA explores what’s triggering the behaviour, what’s maintaining it, and what purpose it might be serving for the individual.
-
Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plan
A Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plan (CBSP) is a detailed, individualised plan developed after completing a Functional Behavioural Assessment (FBA). It’s primary goal is to improve the participant’s quality of life by addressing behaviours of concern through positive, evidence-informed strategies.
